All the information is on the website along with the link to Register for the trip. That direct link can also be found HERE. The trip deposit is due on June 21st. The trip dates are March 11th - March 20th. This is just a reminder about the Downbeat rehearsal and Jazz Band auditions tonight. The Jazz auditions will be 4pm-6pm. The rehearsal is 6pm-8:30. Both are at the MHS Band Room.
The rehearsal is for all marching band new and returning members. For those not doing marching band and are in need of a school-owned instrument, please be here at 6pm so we can issue this to you to practice on to get ready for auditions next week. Instruments to be checked out are oboes, bassoons, tenor saxes, bari saxes, french horns, euphoniums, and tubas. Audition materials can be found by CLICKING HERE. See ya'll tonight :-) Today we say our goodbyes to yet another class that has graced our halls here at the band room at Milton High School. Goodbyes are NEVER easy, but we know that this sin't really goodbye. It's more like...until we meet again. You have done Mr. Weaver and I so proud over your years with us. You are about to go off on another adventure in this life. An adventure full of extraordinary possibilities. So many doors have swung wide open with infinite amount of rooms to explore. What path will you choose? Get it into this world and "seize the day". It's yours for the taking if you just keep pushing yourselves. You've proven that nothing will stop you as long as you stay strong and have each other. We cannot wait to see the great things you are about to do. I have one final request,......MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THIS WORLD. And now with the famous words from your home at the band room:
"Before you leave the band room for the last time, stop and take a look around for just one moment. These four walls have seen you at your worst and at your best. They have watched families created and fall apart. They have seen love between two people and one sided crushes. They have seen your most joyous days and maybe melancholy ones. They have seen the person you were when you walked in for the first time and now have seen the person you are for the last time. And when you turn back around and walk through the halls for the never last time, know that those walls are silently weeping and maybe you are too, because you both have realized that in order to go somewhere in life, you must leave home." |
